Sheriffs and deputies are requested to meet with their members of General Assembly and discuss the VSA's legislative efforts, focusing on pay initiatives and many other pending issues that may affect sheriff's offices. We need to send a strong message on day one that deputy pay should be a top priority. Accordingly, we need your help in attending and bringing deputies to flood the halls of the Pocahontas Building, the temporary home of the legislature while the General Assembly Building is undergoing renovation.

Sheriffs and deputies will attend a VSA Legislative Reception at the Riverfront Plaza Atrium on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, starting at 6:00 p.m. The following day, February 19, sheriffs and deputies will meet starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Pocahontas Building with their respective members of the House of Delegates and Senate to

discuss the VSA's legislative efforts. Afterwards, attendees will meet in the House of Delegates or Senate Galleries for introductions by a member of the House/Senate.
